The EKU Giles Gallery is marking its 50th anniversary with a highly anticipated renovation, the first of its kind since the opening of the Jane F. Campbell building in 1973. This milestone is celebrated through various collateral, including a poster and a mailable informational piece.
The design of these materials encapsulates the essence of interconnectedness among the artists and designers who have contributed to EKU over the past fifty years. Vibrant yet subtly applied colors are employed, symbolizing the rich and vast array of concepts and ideas that have adorned the walls of Giles Gallery throughout its history. This visual representation aims to convey the depth and diversity of artistic endeavors that have shaped the gallery's legacy.
The Natural Areas logo showcases the three distinct natural areas owned by Eastern Kentucky University: Taylor Fork Ecological Area, Maywoods Environmental and Educational Laboratory, and Lilley Cornett Woods Appalachian Ecological Research Station.
Included in the design is a Maywoods sign featuring an updated trail map and detailed information about the flora and fauna found within the area. Additionally, Taylor Fork trail signs, totaling 12, each providing a wealth of information about the features of the area. To emphasize the unique identity of each location, specific colors are utilized to highlight their individual characteristics and all three colors are housed in the Natural Areas logo.

This booklet coordinates a comprehensive and inclusive effort to reduce the health and economic burdens of tobacco use and improve the wellbeing of all those who live, learn, work, play or worship in Kentucky.
Each new section starts with real Kentuckian quotes on why they choose not to smoke. The design incorporates the color blue, not only the color for trust and calm but a color that represents Kentucky βthe bluegrass state.
AIGA Lou Top 100 Show celebrates the best of the best in the region. The 2024 theme was highlighting all things Louisville.
Design it Forward Kentucky is an exhilarating one-day design competition, empowering students to collaborate in teams and devise innovative solutions. These solutions are presented later in the day to a panel of seasoned professional judges. This event places students at the forefront, immersing them in a real-world time-sensitive environment while simultaneously serving the region through thoughtful design initiatives.
The design responsibilities encompass a spectrum of tasks, ranging from crafting a captivating campaign each year to attract both novice and seasoned participants. Each campaign comprises essential components such as sponsor sheets, sponsor graphics, expressions of gratitude, profiles of judges and mentors, certificates, stickers, and competition presentation.

Maggid, A Jewish Storytelling Initiative program, is an event hosted by The Jewish Federation of the Bluegrass. The hands in the logo represent the act of giving one's story to its listeners, paired with seven stars. In Hebrew culture, the number seven symbolizes many elements and signifies "fullness" or "completeness." The most important of the stars featured is the Star of David, representing both the state of Israel and Jewish identity in general.
These holiday cards showcase a diverse range of illustration skills created using Adobe Illustrator. The collection spans from Valentineβs Day to Halloween to Christmas, offering a variety of designs for different occasions.
The Halloween cards follow a specific theme inspired by the classic SNICK show from the 90s and early 2000s, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Each card features a different episode from the series, adding a nostalgic touch to the collection.
Many of the cards come with stickers, utilizing various substrates such as holographic and glow-in-the-dark materials to enhance the visual appeal.
As a passionate advocate for both snail mail and creative expression, these cards represent a personal passion project for me.
